MEMORIAL - DALE PROMNITZT
he memorial service for Dale Promnitz will be at no 100 Selborne Road, Umbilo, Durban, at 11h00 on Friday 18 June.
As the Chapel at this venue is small, the family do not expect everyone to attend. However, everyone is welcome  should they wish to attend.
The family will then be going offshore to scatter Dale's ashes. It would be nice if we could have a few boats in the procession. I would imagine mustering at the harbour entrance at 13h00 & then all going out together.
Gail Dickerson has checked with Chris Sutton who confirmed that there will be no complications going off shore due to world cup procedures. 
The wake at the RNYC will start at around 14h00, where everyone is welcome. There will be a cash bar, entertainment by Rob Main-Baillie, and should anyone wish to pay tribute to Dale, this will happen during the course of the afternoon.

2010 SOCCER WORLD CUP
A Call to Members. Come on down and watch on the big screenWow. What an emotional opening to the World Cup. Members and their guests experienced something very special on Friday during the opening ceremony and first match in which Bafana Bafana played. The atmosphere was electric and support for the home team was phenomenal. Our trusty staff led many renditions of Shosholoza during the evening and enjoyed Bafana Bafana's goal as much as everyone else.
So, some on down, support the Club and Bafana Bafana - or your favourite ‘other' team. The free beer and wine went down like the proverbial ‘homesick mole' while the selection of snacks were well appreciated. And thanks to all the staff for a wonderful evening.
Bafana Bafana play Uruguay tomorrow (Wednesday) at 20h30. BE THERE! Burgers or Foot-Longs and a free ladies draught - R25. Vuvuzelas welcome!!!
