MEMBERS PRICING BENEFIT
It has been brought to the attention of the General Committee that ceratin members still lend their membership swipe cards to non-members in order that they can benefit from member's only prices. Those who do this are defrauding fellow members and their Club. The General Committee forbids members from loaning their Club card to non-members. Members are reminded that on presentation of their valid membership cards they enjoy a discount on the advertised prices.
PLEASE DO NOT LEND YOUR CARD TO NON-MEMBERS SO THAT THEY CAN BENEFIT FROM A LOWER PRICE.

FUNCTION ROOMS AVAILABLE
The Club has two function rooms available for hire for private functions. Members should note that they do not pay for room hire when booking a function - so consider having your next business or private function at the RNYC. LOWER DECK MENU
Members may have noticed that there have been adjustments to our downstairs menu. The ‘Daily Specials Board' shows what quick and tasty meals are available each day, whether it be lunch or dinner. As a result of the need to keep portions to a manageable size, and some patrons pushing the serving staff to give them portions bigger than normal, we are introducing a ‘pay by weight' scheme in the Lower Deck. Members will be charged by weight for the size portion they require.

OFFSHORE SAILING ACADEMY PRIZES
Congratulations to all the ‘newbies' who have won an Offshore Sailing Academy course on a Wednesday Night. Our thanks also to those members who have introduced these guests to our wonderful sport. Who knows, this may just be the opportunity they need to become lifetime sailors? This is important please. Every Wednesday Chris and Libby Bonnet give a beginner's sailing course to the person who is new to the sport that night. VASCO DA GAMA RACE
There are only three months to go before the start of VASCO 2010!! The Organising Committee of the Vasco da Gama Race 2010 are happy to inform all interested entrants in Vasco 2010 that through the efforts of PYC's Rear Commodore Keelers, Chris Sutton, we have been able to arrange for King & Sons to provide skippers with assistance with procedures to clear in and out of Maputo. Obviously actual dues etc. will be for the individual yacht's account. We would like to thank Chris for this initiative, and thank Andre and Dan from King & Sons for agreeing to get involved. We look forward to receiving your entry as soon as possible!!
